Adam Cole (born Austin Jenkins on July 5, 1989) is an American professional wrestler who is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he performs under the ring name Adam Cole. He is widely regarded as one of the most talented and popular wrestlers in the world today.
Cole grew up in Panama City, Florida, where he developed a passion for professional wrestling at a young age. He began training in his backyard with his friends and eventually made his debut in 2008 for the Independent Wrestling Association Mid-South (IWA-MS). Over the next few years, Cole wrestled for various independent promotions across the United States, honing his skills and building a loyal following.
In 2010, Cole signed with Ring of Honor (ROH), where he quickly became one of the promotion's top stars. He formed a successful tag team with Kyle O'Reilly known as Future Shock, and together they won the ROH World Tag Team Championships twice. Cole also captured the ROH World Television Championship three times, making him one of the most decorated wrestlers in ROH history.
In 2014, Cole made his debut for New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), where he competed in the Bullet Club stable. He quickly established himself as a major player in NJPW, winning the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship twice and the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship once. Cole was also a member of the winning team in the 2015 World Tag League tournament, alongside his Bullet Club teammate Matt Jackson.
In 2017, Cole signed with WWE and was assigned to their developmental brand, NXT. He quickly became one of the most popular wrestlers in NXT, winning the NXT North American Championship twice and the NXT Championship once. Cole also led the Undisputed Era stable to great success, winning the NXT Tag Team Championships twice.
In 2021, Cole left WWE and signed with AEW, where he has quickly become one of the promotion's top stars. He has won the AEW TNT Championship once and led the Undisputed Elite stable to victory in the 2022 Anarchy in the Arena match.
Cole is married to Britt Baker, who is also a professional wrestler. The couple reside in Orlando, Florida.
